CUBB Barbecue at Chris’s house (15th July 2006)

While his parents were away on holiday, Chris invited the band to his house in Grove (near Wantage, in Oxfordshire) for a barbecue. Only seven of us actually attended, however. As well as the barbecue itself, we enjoyed driving trains around Chris’s garden (and this seems to have been the subject of most of my photos!).

CUBB Tour 2006: ‘Lost in Powys’ (and Gwynedd) (16th-19th March 2006)

My third fantastic tour with the Brass Band was to mid-Wales, staying in an Outdoor Education centre by the coast in Llwyngwril. We visited and played concerts in Guilsfield, Machynlleth and Barmouth, and I also managed to persuade several people to join me on hillwalking excursions! Plus all the Tour traditions of course!

CUBB Punting (27th May 2005)

It was the hottest May day in 50 years (well, it was in London anyway), so a few of us from the band – actually just a selection of this year and next year’s committees! – decided to take an evening off from revision for a punt along the backs. N.B. Jenny was there too, but seems to have avoided being photographed!

CUBB Tour 2005: Malvern and the Midlands (17th-20th March 2005)

This year’s Brass Band tour was to the Midlands, staying in a large hostel near Hanley Swan. We performed in Great Malvern, Hagley, Solihull and Stourbridge, and also had time for visits to Stratford and Birmingham, and a night-time walk up the Worcestershire Beacon, plus all the traditional tour antics of course!
